Governance

The AGITG and the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG) recently formalised collaboration by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding. The MOU documents the way in which the two organisations will work together, and sets out the responsibilities of the organisations as part of their working relationship. The MOU covers numerous activities from developing and conducting intergroup clinical trials through to the associated correlative research; reciprocal presence at each organisation’s annual meeting; to the CommNETS initiative.

A new Executive Committee is being introduced comprising three representatives from each organisation. Co-Chairs from each organisation will provide leadership. Each Co-Chair will be supported primarily by an Officer from the organisation’s other two Executive Committee members. The third Executive Committee member from each organisation will provide support as needed.

The CommNETS Executive Committee is made up of the following representatives:

Eva Segelov AGITG Australia
Sharon Pattison AGITG New Zealand
David Wyld AGITG Australia
Simron Singh CCTG Canada
Chris O’Callaghan CCTG Canada
Tim Asmis CCTG Canada

The Annual Meeting will continue to be led by a Convening Committee also known as the Annual Meeting Committee currently comprising:

Eva Segelov AGITG Australia
Michael Michael AGITG Australia
Ben Lawrence AGITG New Zealand
Sharon Pattison AGITG New Zealand
Simron Singh CCTG Canada
Rachel Goodwin CCTG Canada

There is a Country Project Oversight Committee comprising:

David Wyld AGITG Australia
Rachel Goodwin CCTG Canada
Sharon Pattison AGITG New Zealand

Other committees are formed as needed to provide governance to specific CommNETS projects as outlined on the web site https://agitg.org.au/2017-projects-working-groups/

The new Executive Committee will provide overall governance across all CommNETS activities.
